A restaurant (and food truck) servicing our take on Latin cuisine in the streets of Minneapolis. We specialize in Venezuelan stuffed arepas - the perfect vehicle for our delicious Latin-style fillings.

Our arepas are handmade fresh everyday from cornmeal dough, made into patties and cooked on a griddle. Then, they're stuffed with meats, veggies, cheeses, and topped with homemade salsas. All of our food is made from scratch with a whole lot of love.

Hell's Kitchen

Bryant Lake Bowl & Theater

The building that houses the BLB was built in 1926 when Lake Street was the edge of town. It was originally a Ford garage and serviced Model Ts at the time. It was converted to a bowling alley in 1936, and in 1959 was bought by Minnesota Bowling Hall of Famer Bill Drouches, who installed the automatic pinsetters that year--the ones we use today.

The BLB was restored as closely as possible to its original splendor, and the video/pool hall was turned into a 90-seat cabaret theater in 1993 by Kim Bartmann. Shows almost every day of the week and sometimes twice a night! Our shows cover a broad spectrum of interests: comedy, musical, drama, dance, music and more. The establishment quickly became both a busy neighborhood hang out as well as a destination for travelers and celebrations of all sorts.

Up-Down Minneapolis

Up-Down Minneapolis features more than 50 arcade games from the ‘80s and ‘90s, pinball machines, four classic skee-ball alleys, Nintendo 64 console gaming, life-size Jenga and Connect Four.

Five Watt Coffee was founded by Lee Carter and Caleb Garn in 2014. With similar coffee philosophies, it was only time before they got together to start Five Watt Coffee. Caleb works closely with our General Managers, and Lee oversees the beverage program alongside the Lead Baristas.
